There are generally two kinds of body types most guys aim for when they hit the gym. The big, bulky kind that looks like you are hiding kittens under your sleeves. Or the lean muscular type that looks like you can grate cheese on your stomach. Brad Pitt is someone who epitomizes the perfect lean muscular body. Brad's workout is strictly about attacking a different body part every day. Then ending it with a cardio day to put your body on fat-burning mode. So you can melt away any fat that gets in the way of your chiseled look. It focuses on muscle definition more then raw mass.Here is a summary of his weekly routine. Perform 3 sets of each workout with one minute rest periods in between. Each set consists of 15 reps. Choose a weight which fatigues you by the last rep but does not sacrifice form or composure. Day 1 (Chest)

Day 3 (Shoulders)
Day 4 (Arms)
Day 5 (Cardio) Running for 45 minutes at 70% of M.H.R. Day 6 & 7 (Rest) The weekend is all about letting your muscles recover from the grueling work you have put them through. If you still feel like you got a stubborn layer of flab on you, you can try some light cardio during this period. This extra cardio can be beneficial as the added blood flow helps stimulate muscle recovery. However over exerting in cardio can cause you to start burning off muscle. |
