Snake Has 13lb Dog for Breakfast

Patty Buntine in the Northern Territory got worried when her pet dog Bindi didn't turn up for breakfast in the morning. The reason as she soon found out was an olive python decided to have Bindi for breakfast.

"I went around the side of the house and that's when I found the snake. It couldn't move and had its head up in a striking position," Buntine said. She continued "It's belly was bulging -- it looked like a great big coconut was inside it. I knew straight away that it had ate Bindi."

She later called reptile expert David Reed who commented that it was a very odd and unlikely case as the dog was approximately sixty percent of the Pythons size. Making this the equivalent to a man eating a 16 year old boy.
